Salary and Benefits

Salary Code: U-AC 5 (II)
Salary Scale: Rs. 198,280 – 13 x 4,850 – 261,330 p.m.
Allowances: 124% Academic Allowance + Rs. 13,300.00, 21% Research Allowance, 10% Entertainment Allowance, and a Cost of Living Allowance of Rs. 17,800/= p.m.

Eligibility Criteria:

Librarian	1. A relevant basic Degree (First/Second Class preferred) AND a Master’s/Doctoral Degree in Library & Information Sciences with a research component. 2. Track record of publications in the field of Library and Information Sciences. 3. Minimum 15 years of experience after a first degree OR 10 years after the postgraduate qualification in professional librarianship/research. 4. Must meet the minimum marks in the UGC Marking Scheme. 5. Sri Lankan citizen aged not more than 45 years.
