Eligibility & Requirements
01. Electrician (Primary Skilled Service Category PL-3) – 01 Vacancy
Educational and Professional Qualifications (External Applicants)
- Should have passed G.C.E (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects in not more than two sittings with two (02) credit passes.
- Should have obtained a Proficiency Certificate at not less than National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level four (04) issued by a technical/vocational training institution recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission relevant to the duties of the post of Electrician.
Internal Applicants
- Employees in the Primary Semi-skilled (PL-2) or Primary Non-skilled (PL-1) service category who have five (05) years of experience in the electrical field and have passed a Trade Test of not less than the level four (04) of National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) issued by a Technical College/Vocational Training Institute, relevant to the duties of the Electrical Worker position.OR
- Possession of a Certificate of Proficiency at a level not less than the fourth (4) National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) issued by a Technical/Vocational Training Institution recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, relevant to the duties of the post of Electrician.

- Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.
- Maximum age limit will not apply to internal applicants.
02. Labourer (Primary Non-Skilled Service Category PL-1) – 98 Vacancies

- Should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.

Allowances and Benefits
Allowances
- Cost of Living allowance of Rs. 17,800/- approved by the Treasury.
- Monthly food allowance – based on daily attendance.
- Monthly attendance incentive – based on daily attendance.
- Monthly transport allowance of Rs. 1,800/- approved by the Treasury.
Benefits
- Insurance coverage for surgery, hospitalization and outpatient treatment:
- Hospitalization insurance cover of Rs. 300,000/- for one year (including family members)
- Reimbursement of external treatment bills of Rs. 25,000/- for one year (including family members)
- Dental treatment bill reimbursement of Rs. 10,000/- for one year (including family members)
- Providing medical expenses up to a fixed (specified) limit:
- Allowance of Rs. 12,000/- every two years under the Internal Medical Scheme
- Rs. 5,000/- for external treatment once a year under the internal medical scheme
- Rs. 12,000/- every 2 years for the birth of a a child
- Provident Funds: The employee shall contribute 10% towards the Employees’ Provident Fund, while the institution shall contribute 15%. The institution shall also contribute 3% to the Employees’ Trust Fund.
