Salary Details:

  • Salary Category – 6:3 (SG 3) Basic Salary – Rs. 53,425/=
  • Annual Increment – Rs. 1,150/=
  • (The gross salary is around Rs.145,000/= per month.)

Qualifications and Experience for the Post of Sea Traffic Coordinator jobs

Should have passed the G.C.E (A/L) examination with three (03) subjects in one sitting.

And

Should possess a Certificate of Competency valid for sea-going service as an officer in charge of a Navigational Watch on ships not less than 3000 GT engaged on Near Coastal Voyages (NCV) issued by or recognized by the Director General of Merchant Shipping of Sri Lanka or issued by the Maritime Administration of India or Australia.

Or

Possess any other higher level valid certificate of proficiency issued or recognized by the Director General of Merchant Shipping, Sri Lanka or equivalent valid certificate of proficiency issued by the Government of Australia or India.

And

Possess Global Maritime Disaster and Safety Systems (GMDSS) certification or equivalent certificate.

And

Possess a Radar Observers Certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the Director General of Merchant Shipping, Sri Lanka.

With

Experience:

One (01) year experience as a watch-keeping officer in a ship.

(c) Other Compulsory Requirements:

i. Knowledge and ability to transmit signals using High Frequency (V.H.F) transmission equipment.

ii. Ability to converse fluently in English

(d) Age Limit:

18-45 Years of age.
