Eligibility & Requirements for Meteorological Assistant Grade III

Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
Character: Must possess an excellent moral character.
Age Limit: Between 18 and 45 years of age as of 15.07.2026. (The maximum age limit does not apply to candidates who are already confirmed in a permanent post in the Public Service or Provincial Public Service).
Educational Qualifications: Must have passed at least 6 subjects with a minimum of two credit passes at the G.C.E. O/L examination in not more than two sittings (excluding optional subjects).
Physical Fitness: Candidates must possess adequate physical and mental fitness to serve in any part of the island and perform the required duties. A medical examination will be conducted post-appointment.
Language Proficiency: Must acquire the second language proficiency of the relevant level as per Public Administration Circular 18/2020 and its consecutive circulars.

Prepare an application form in accordance with the specimen form attached to the official notice.
Attach clear photocopies of the following documents (Do not send originals):
- Birth Certificate
- National Identity Card (NIC)
- Educational and training certificates (if applicable)
- Service experience certificates (if available)
- Grama Niladhari residence and character certificate (issued within the last 6 months)
- Two recently obtained character certificates
