Qualifications/Experience Required:

1. A successfully completed Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Agriculture, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration or any other degree relevant to the field which is recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka

Or

A qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent qualification to a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Or

An associate membership or a similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in a relevant field.

With

At least ten (10) years of post-qualifying experience at the Managerial Level.

2. A successfully completed Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Management, Accounting or any other relevant field which is recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka

Or

A qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission as an equivalent qualification to a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Or

An associate membership / a similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in a relevant field

And

A Postgraduate Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Project Management or a similar field or Corporate / Chartered membership or a similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional institution in the relevant field

With

At least eight (08) years post-qualifying experience at the Managerial Level

Class I officer of a Government All Island Services or similar status in the relevant field

With

At least three (03) years of experience in the Class I post

Other Required Qualifications and Experience For Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Jobs

  • Extensive experience in the design and administration of monitoring and evaluation systems and instruments, especially in utilizing participatory techniques and information systems;
  • Experience in providing management-level technical assistance and consensus-building among project staff in implementing the agreed actions of the project;
  • Familiar with the agricultural sector and preferably with experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Experience in building capacity and knowledge of organizations;
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships, group ease and interview skills.
  • Experience in donor-funded projects or other international organizations will be a distinct advantage; Experience and knowledge of the rules and procedures in force at the IFAD and the Government of Sri Lanka will be a plus;
  • Computer literate and well-versed in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and the Internet, and have demonstrated capability in MS Access
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
