Director General: Education Qualifications
- External Applicants: Having a degree in fields such as sociology, psychology, information technology, commerce, mass communication, management, social work, law, chemistry, accounting, or statistics, along with a master’s degree and a Ph.D. recognized by the University Grants Commission.
- The candidate must have at least 18 years of experience in a supervisory role within a government-owned company, statutory board, or government department.
- Internal Candidates: Having worked successfully for at least 3 years in a senior management role at the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board.
