Government Job Vacancies in Sri Lanka 2024: (SARP) Smallholder Agribusiness and Resilience Project Vacancies for 2024: The Smallholder Agribusiness and Resilience Project (SARP), a project jointly financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Government of Sri Lanka, aims to build resilience and market participation of 40,000 rural households in the climate change affected districts of Anuradhapura, Vavuniya, Matale, Mannar, Puttalam and Kurunegala. This is pursued through capacity building for climate resilience and inclusive value chains, combined with investments for climate resilience and inclusive value chains including last-mile infrastructure. The lead programme agency is the Ministry of Agriculture and Plantation Industries, which would establish a dedicated Project Management Unit (PMU) at the central level and two regional hubs for the implementation of SARP. What are the job positions and their qualifications at SARP?

  • Agro Enterprise Promoter: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Agriculture Technology and Management preferably specialized in Agricultural Economics, Business Management, and/ or marketing or a field related to rural enterprise development. OR postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Marketing Specialist: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agriculture Technology, Food Science, or any other related field. At least 07 of working experience.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist: Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Agriculture, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Business Administration.
